STEP tournaments
A STEP tournament is a Sit-n-Go that allows you to win your seat to the 2009 WSOP for super cheap. Absolute Poker has 10 STEP tournaments, with the final STEP featuring the big WSOP prize. Players will advance to the next STEP by finishing 1st in a STEP. Players who don’t finish 1st or 2nd but still rank high enough will be invited to replay the STEP.
How WSOP Steps work
Each STEP tournament series consists of 10 individual STEP (Site & Go) tournaments. The buy-in for the first STEP is $0.10. As the STEPS advance, the buy-ins increase.
How to move through STEPs
First two winners of STEP 1 advances to STEP 2 fo free. The first two winners of STEP 2 advances to STEP 3, and so on. This goes on until STEP 10 where the winner secures the 2009 WSOP tournament package.
You can try again
If you don’t finish first in a STEP, it’s not game over. STEP tournaments let you replay a STEP, depending on how you finish in a tournament. As long as you can finish high enough, you can replay the STEP and try to win your way to the next STEP.
Enter a STEP tournament at any STEP
You can also buy directly in to a higher STEP with cash, but the higher the STEP the more it will cost. The only way to play a STEP tournament for free is by advancing from a previous STEP tournament.
