CEREUS Network poker rooms, Absolute Poker and UB, recently held a unique contest for players to take part in. players were asked to design a table skin for each room which would go along with the poker rooms brand logos as well as be enjoyable to each player. The table skin also needed to be able to work on all table formats. The contest is now over and the winners have been announced.
The contest was created for the poker rooms to get a new look as well as for the design world to meet the online poker world, according to UB and Absolute Poker. many designers sent in their creative designs but it was PATATTACK333 a twenty nine year old CG Artist from Arizona who won the contest for UB and it was online player JUSTIN749 a thirty two year old entrepreneur and poker player from Florida who won the contest for Absolute Poker.
Each winner’s table skin will be featured on the site in which they won. Players will be able to use the new table skin as they play online. So thousands of players will be able to view the creativity of the winners of the contest. Each player that won the contest earned a nice prize for their efforts as well. Both players won a VIP package to Las Vegas for the WSOP as well as $1,000 in cash. The package included flights for two, four night’s accommodations as well as being able to attend the UB VIP party.
The UB winning design was titled Spaceship and it gave players an inside look as to what poker might be like in the future. The Absolute Poker winner, JUSTIN749 patterned his design after Michelangelo’s artwork. JUSTIN749 commented on winning by stating:
“I am very proud to have something I worked on get recognized by Absolute and honored to have my skin on the site for everyone to use if they wish. Thanks to Absolute Poker for having great promotions that are like no other, and now I am really pumped to go to Vegas to represent AP.”
This contest was not easy at all and designers found that creating the skins can be tough. So many factors had to be considered in the designing process. Those participating had to be very creative to be able to beat the other players participating as well as make the skin be something that players at both sites would find visually appealing while still staying in line with the brands logos at each site.
Those who participated in the event had to submit their designs on the UB and Absolute Poker Facebook page. All of the designs that were submitted can be viewed on the Facebook page of each poker room under the photos tab.
