Bodog Poker King of the Felt Competition

Bodog Poker is one of the top online providers of poker gaming. The site has it all from various poker cash games to guaranteed tournaments. The site is known for offering nice prize pools as well as qualifiers and satellites to some of the largest land tournaments available. The site has recently launched a new competition called the King of the Felt and the latest King has been crowned.

The King of the Felt competition at Bodog is very simple to participate in. players simply place Sit and Go Tournaments throughout a week’s time. Players who finish in the money in at least three Sit and Go tournaments will earn one entry into the weekly cash draw. Players who cash in at six Sit and Go tournaments will earn two entries into the draw as well as an entry into a $1,000 free roll.

Those who managed to finish in the money at nine or more Sit and Go tournaments in one week they will earn three entries into the drawing and an entry into a $500 free roll. The King of the Felt draw will take place at Bodog every Monday and any player that has cashed in the appropriate number of sit and gos will be entered into the drawing.

The Reigning King of the Felt will face the winner of the draw each Thursday at 8:45pm ET and they will compete in a heads up poker challenge to figure out if the current King will continue to reign or if a new King will be crowned.

The first King of the Felt was crowned this past week and his name is Ddsromero. It took fifty minutes of heads up play between Brutus31 and Ddsromero before the title was awarded. The final hand showed Ddsromero holding A-J and it held up in the end to give him a $1,000 prize and the right to claim the title of the first ever King of the Felt.

This Thursday Ddsromero will face the next winner of the King of the Felt draw. Every week a new challenger will be drawn and that person will have a chance to take on the current King. The longer a King is able to remain on the top the larger the payouts will be. The first time you are crowned King you get $1,000. Each week after that you can remain the King will pay an additional $1,000. If you defend the title for five weeks straight then you will earn $2,500 and a ten week reign will earn the King a World Series of Poker 2010 main event prize package.
