WSOP-C Schedule Announced for 2010-2011
The World Series of Poker has announced the release of the 2010-2011 WSOP Circuit Schedule.
The action at the Rio All Suites Casino in Las Vegas during the WSOP each year is amazing. A huge party with tons of action through the casino, in fact the action spills over throughout most of Las Vegas. After it’s over, the players seemingly fade off into the night. Or well, not exactly.
The first WSOP Circuit event kicks off just after the WSOP Main event ends in August. The event is held in Iowa at the Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
Including that first stop at the Horseshoe in Iowa, the WSOP Circuit tour which is in it’s seventh season features at least already scheduled 12 tournaments in various locations. In addition to the 12 tour stops already announced, more are promised to be released in the coming months.
According to a report by the WSOP, this years tour features some noteworthy improvements:
One such improvement is a cumulative ranking system. This new system will award players points for each WSOP-C Ring event. The top 100 ranked players will then play in a season finale event at Caesars Palace. The winner will win a share in the $1,000,000 prize pool and a customary WSOP Gold Bracelet.

Day 7 of the WSOP – down to 27
More than 70 poker players bellied up to World Series of Poker tables today, many for the last time in 2010. Play was set to ensue until there were just 27 poker players left in the main event.
Bryn Kenney was the player that made that happen.
In the final hand of the night Kenney tangled with Pascal LeFrancois, who he’d been involved in a few hands with previously. During one hand, LeFrancois slow rolled a set, carving out a pretty decent chunk of Kenney’s stack and leaving him short. In the final hand of the night, Kenny was all in before the flop, LeFrancois had him covered. They turned over their cards and Kenney had the worst of it for sure.
Kenny showed a pocket pair of two’s, and he’d come up against LeFrancois’s pocket aces. He’d need to hit trips, make a straight, or hope for a miracle from God to stay in the game at this point.
The flop did bring the trips, however, it was an ace, not a deuce that landed on the felt, giving LeFrancois the nuts on the flop.
The turn and river were both bricks, and the field was finally down to 27. Play resumes tomorrow at 12P.M. and will continue until only 9 players remain and the final table is set.

This year the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVII will begin on August 4th. The tournament will continue until August 15th and have thirty four events taking place. The total guaranteed prize money up for grabs will be $19 million but hopefully so many players will sign up to compete that the prize money for each tournament will surpass its guarantee!
Included on the schedule are six Rush Poker tournaments as well as knockout and shootout tournaments. There will also be a Bouncebackability Free roll which will be for those who end up being Bubble Boys. If you just miss the cash bubble in an event then you will be entered into the free roll. You will then have the chance to win a seat to the FTOPS XVII Main Event.
Even though the schedule has been announced it has not been told as to who will be hosting each event. I’m sure Full Tilt is still figuring out which star will host which event so we should find out in the near future who will be hosting the events.
The online poker series will kick off with a $200 plus $16 No Limit Hold’em event which will have a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000. Next up will be a $240 plus $16 Pot limit Omaha hi/lo knockout rush tournament which will have a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There is also going to be a $2,000 plus $100 no limit hold’em tournament ante from start which is a two day six max event. This tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million dollars. And of course no one could forget the main event. The main event will have a buy-in of $600 plus $40 and be a no limit hold’em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $3,000,000.
Of course if you don’t want to pay the buy-in you can try your hand at satellites that Full Tilt will be holding. Players can earn their seat to the tournament events by participating in the various satellites with varying buy-ins to earn their seat to a FTOPS XVII Event. Players can check out the FTOPS XVII page at Full Tilt to check out the full schedule of events.
