Dwight Dasher Suspended in Conjunction with Poker Debts
The future of Dwight Dasher, the college football quarterback at Middle Tennessee State is a yet unknown. The college ball player broke the rules, and accepted a $1500 loan from 80-year-old Oliver Donnell which he says he used to play poker with.
Apparently, the football player lost it all. It’s not the losing that’s got him in hot water though. It’s not even the gambling.
In fact, as far as the NCAA bylaw’s are concerned, he can’t even be suspended for playing poker. Bylaw 10.3 online includes sports betting.
What he IS in trouble for however is taking the loan. Dasher, who played poker for Charlton County High is currently suspended for acceptance of the loan, which as a student football player is against NCAA rules.
The University is behind Dasher however, and has asked the NCAA to let him play ball again.
