There may not be a more worthwhile cause. The Vincent Lecavalier Celebrity Poker Classic exsists to raise money to fight against pediatric cancer.

Ultimate Bet has announced their intention to sponsor the event which will take place at 7pm on Friday the 10th of September.The charity tournament will be held at the Derby Lane in St. Petersburg Florida.

Two days later, Ultimate Bet’s Second Sundays charity tournament will benefit the new Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

The center is one of the largest centers of it’s kind in the sunshine state. They provide up to the minute technology and teaching along with the latest in reserach and cancer patient care.

The live Lecavalier Texas Hold ‘em Tournament, set to take place in Florida features a $550 buy-in with $100 rebuys. Thus far,tournament organizers are expecting more than  40 sports and entertainment celebrities to participate. The event winner is looking at their shot at a $100,000 prize pool.

The second  ‘Second Sundays’ online tournament and fundraiser which is set to be hosted online by UB.net, kicks off  September 12th with a much smaller buyin. A $10 buy-in gets you a seat in this  event at UB.com which begins at r 14:45 ET, and will be hosted by Ultimate Bet’s own  Team UB Pro Joe Sebok.  UBp plans to match the prize pool dollar for dollar donating the funds raised to  month’s chosen beneficiary. In addition to the prize pool everyone who participates in this tournament is automatically in the running for $2150 in added prizes.
