It is just over two months before the 2010 World Series of Poker is set to begin and online poker rooms are getting ready for the anticipated event. Top online poker rooms are setting up their qualifiers and satellites to offer their players seats to the side events and main event of the 2010 WSOP. The latest poker room to begin offering qualifiers is Party Poker.
Free rolls are taking place twice a day at the online poker room at 1:15pm and 7:15 pm ET. By the end of the free rolls, the top twenty five players earn a seat to the next round of qualifying tournaments. The next step on the road to the WSOP at Party Poker is the daily WSOP Sub Qualifier Speed Re-buy.
The speed tournaments at Party Poker are the same as turbos at other poker rooms. Blind levels increase every five minutes and Party Poker allows re-buys up to the first scheduled break. Players who want to buy directly into the Sub Qualifier can do so for just $2. One entry to the next qualifier will be given for every $80 in the prize pool.
Those who make it to the next level will move on to the $75 plus $5 WSOP Satellite Qualifier. This tournament can also be bought in directly as well. These are held twice on Monday through Saturday at 3:35pm and 9:40pm ET and once on Sundays at 1:45pm ET. One out of every ten players will move on to the next round.
The final round is the large $700 plus $50 WSOP satellite. This tournament takes place on Fridays at 6:00pm ET and Sundays at 3:35pm ET. One in twenty will earn a $14,000 World Series of Poker prize package. This event can also be bought in directly for those who have the cash and want to skip the other qualifiers.
Players who want to skip the free rolls can still win a seat to the $75 plus $5 WSOP Satellite. Party Poker is holding a Sub Qualifier Speed RE-buy but this time it has a buy-in of $4 instead of $2. The other option is the $9 WSOP Sub Qualifier Speed event which does not have re-buys and one in ten will earn entry into the next qualifier.
Each prize package given away by Party Poker is worth $14,000 and includes the $10,000 WSOP Main Event buy-in as well as $2,000 in spending money and hotel accommodations as well as hospitality. Players who win the Party Poker prize package will also be able to attend a poker seminar that will be hosted by at least one member of Team Party. The poker team includes Mike Sexton, Ian Frazer, Tony G and Kara Scott.
This is an excellent opportunity for poker players to earn their seat to the upcoming World Series of Poker main event. Party Poker is offering many opportunities with small buy-ins and larger ones so every player has a chance to compete.
