Cake Poker Review
Cake Poker launched in 2006 and developed one of the most distinctive rewards programs ever created for players. The poker room was built by poker players and as such they wanted to make sure that it revolved around a players needs and what makes them want to play. With this, Cake Poker offers incentives for playing at ring game and tournaments that are quite valuable and in some cases can mean an added bankroll. They are a US friendly poker site and was one of the few who refused to leave the US market. The poker room is owned by Cake Gaming N.V with operations existing in Costa Rica. Cake Poker is the main website of the Cake Network and shares players with a bunch of other poker rooms on the Cake Network, such as Doyles Room.
Cake Poker provides something out of the ordinary for real money ring players. This is the Gold Card program where players will earn these by playing at regular ring games and contributing to rake. Once a fixed amount of rake has been collected, the Cake Poker RNG will release a gold card to a player. The card is determined by the RNG and must match a while card in the players hand. If it doesn't than another card will be drawn till it does. These gold cards are as valuable as cash. You can use them towards the Gold Card daily lottery or for entry to guaranteed Gold Card Tournaments available throughout the week.
Another benefit that Cake provides is the Gold Chips. Gold Chips are earned through game play at both ring and tournaments by collecting frequent player points. These points accumulate until you have earned enough to be rewarded a gold chip, each subsequent chip requires less points. These chips can be used in the Cake Poker shop or in part with tournaments featured in the poker room.

Cake Poker currently offers players a 110% match up to $600 using the Cake Poker bonus code CP600. This bonus is released in increments of $10 with players clearing at a set rate of $0.06/1 FPP. You will have 90 days to clear your bonus before it expires. You can also expect frequent reload offers along with the rewards program they have in place.

Cake Poker Ring Games
Ring games are supported in your standard varieties such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo, with stakes ranging from $0.10/$0.20 and climbing up to $100/$200. You will find the majority of the traffic is focused on the Texas Holdem tables with Omaha following close behind. The room has grown substantially since Doyles Room has joined the cake network and with all the rakeback offers. Cake Poker has a fixed rate of 5% with a maximum rake of $3 taken from each pot. The do support a no flop no drop rule which means if the hand is won uncontested before the flop no rake will be taken
Cake Poker Competition
Competition is very reckless at the low limit tables with the average view flop percentage at 60%. They do not have many high stake games so you won't find many sharks in this room. Omaha especially pot limit, has a lot of action and can be quite profitable for a player who understands the concept of this game. Overall you will find more novice players than anything with a handful of skilled players playing the midsized stakes.
Cake Poker Software
The software is typical to any of the 3 dimensional rooms online. Your characters are situated in a full table setting with graphics that are standard. They do not offer any fancy features or options but in the same token due to that the software will not slow your computer down. It is very quick, easy to navigate and provides in lobby menu stats as well as table stats. The table statistics are located within the chat window. I prefer this method although some do not. Your functions for placing bets are nicely supported by a bet pot button as well as individually selecting your own amount.
Deposit methods include; NetTeller, WebMoney, ClickandBuy, Visa and Mastercard, and Moneybookers.
