-Poor graphics
-Limited player stats

BONUS & PROMOTIONS:
Cake Poker currently offers players a 100% match up to $500 using the Cake Poker bonus code FISH500. This bonus is released in increments of $10 with players clearing at a set rate of $0.06/1 FPP. You will have 90 days to clear your bonus before it expires. You can also expect frequent reload offers along with the rewards program they have in place.

TOURNAMENTS:
This is one area that is improving far greater than any other. Cake Poker, like we said is still limited as far as player volume is concerned. With that being said they have yet to let that restrict them in offering a great line up of tournaments including guaranteed payments games that enable overlays. The top GP you will find on this room is a monthly $100,000 GP with daily games consisting of re-buys, freezeouts and a $10,000 GP. The buyins range from $1 right up to a couple hundred. Cake also sends players to the WSOP, EPT among other major live events. Currently Cake is running a $1Million Freerolls Event which is guaranteeing a $100,000 freeroll each month. To win a seat to any of these games simply enter through qualifiers or a direct buyin and the first place finished in each Million Dollar Freeroll Series will be walking away with $75,000.

RING GAMES :
Ring games are supported in your standard varieties such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo, with stakes ranging from $0.10/$0.20 and climbing up to $100/$200. You will find the majority of the traffic is focused on the Texas Holdem tables with Omaha following close behind. The room is still small in comparison to the industry standards which means once peak hours have dropped off tables will be limited to a select few. Cake Poker has a fixed rate of 5% with a maximum rake of $3 taken from each pot. The do support a no flop no drop rule which means if the hand is won uncontested before the flop no rake will be taken.

COMPETITION:
Competition is very reckless at the low limit tables with the average view flop percentage at 60%. They don’t have many high stake games so you won’t find many sharks in this room. Omaha especially pot limit, has a lot of action and can be quite profitable for a player who understands the concept of this game. Overall you will find more novice players than anything with a handful of skilled players playing the midsized stakes.

SOFTWARE:
The software is typical to any of the 3 dimensional rooms online. Your characters are situated in a full table setting with graphics that are standard. They don’t offer any fancy features or options but in the same token due to that the software won’t slow your computer down. It’s very quick, easy to navigate and provides in lobby menu stats as well as table stats. The table statistics are located within the chat window. I prefer this method although some do not. Your functions for placing bets are nicely supported by a bet pot button as well as individually selecting your own amount.

REVIEW:
Cake Poker accepts players from the United States.

Cake Poker launched in 2006 and developed one of the most distinctive rewards programs ever created for players. The room was built by poker players and as such they wanted to make sure that it revolved around a players needs and what makes them want to play. With this, Cake Poker offers incentives for playing at ring game and tournaments that are quite valuable and in some cases can mean an added bankroll. They are a US friendly room and was one of the few who refused to leave the US market. The poker room is owned by Cake Gaming N.V with operations existing in Costa Rica.

Cake Poker provides something out of the ordinary for real money ring players. This is the Gold Card program where players will earn these by playing at regular ring games and contributing to rake. Once a fixed amount of rake has been collected, Cake Poker’s RNG will release a gold card to a player. The card is determined by the RNG and must match a while card in the players hand. If it doesn’t than another card will be drawn till it does. These gold cards are as valuable as cash. You can use them towards the Gold Card daily lottery or for entry to guaranteed Gold Card Tournaments available throughout the week.

Another benefit that Cake provides is the Gold Chips. Gold Chips are earned through game play at both ring and tournaments by collecting frequent player points. These points accumulate until you have earned enough to be rewarded a gold chip, each subsequent chip requires less points. These chips can be used in the Cake Poker shop or in part with tournaments featured in the poker room.

Deposit methods include; NetTeller, EPassport, Visa and Mastercard, and Moneybookers.
