Often though when you raise pre-flop and hit nothing it's like throwing away chips, and when you only have a small amount of them in a sit n go tournament you don't have any that you can afford to waste.

Finishing in the top three is important so that you don’t lose money in the tournament and if you play with the strategy listed above then you'll do fine for the most part.
