World Championship of Online Poker $50 Million in Prizes!

August 5, 2010 / Sadonna / Tournaments

Pokerstars has finally released the 2010 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) schedule! 2010 kicks of the 9th year running for this exciting online poker series which will consist of 62 various online poker events. In fact, the only thing that seems to be missing is Rush Poker, which PokerStars obviously couldn’t include due to the patent that Full Tilt Poker has on the event, which will be a part of Full Tilt’s latest FTOPS series.

PokerStars WCOOP action kicks on September 5th with the No Limit Six Max event. Players can buy into this event for $200 plus the house fee. The prize pool is guaranteed at a minimum of $1.25 Million! The final day of the main event will be held on September 26th, and that will close the event for the year.

The majority of these events are higher buyin events, so if you’re looking to play on a budget, now’s the time to grind it up, or step into a satellite event, and work your way into major poker events in the WCOOP on the cheap.

Satellite events are available in the PokerStars lobby for as little as $1 or 100 Poker Stars FPP points.
