Online poker rooms are constantly adding new poker pros and celebrities to their online poker teams as well as poker sponsorships. Two poker sites recently announced they have signed a new poker pro to their teams. PokerStars as well as Carbon Poker have both signed poker pros.
Event #46 of the 2010 World Series of Poker has finished up and the winner of the event was Chris Bell. The event saw 284 players posting the $5,000 buy-in which created a total prize pool of $1,334,800. Bell would play well but would find himself the short stack during final table play. He would have to grind his way back to gain more chips to make it to heads up play. Of course the pro did just that and managed to win his first career WSOP bracelet.
Event #44 of the 2010 World Series of Poker has finished up and the event saw just over five hundred players competing. The event was a mixed hold’em (limit/no limit) tournament and with a buy-in of $2,500, the event saw a total prize pool offering of $1,166,100.
The top online poker rooms like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars have many, many poker pros that make up their poker teams. The players represent the poker rooms at live events as well as in online play. Poker rooms will host special competitions in which players can compete against the poker pros as well as the poker pros competing on the site on their own.
CEREUS Network poker rooms, Absolute Poker and UB, recently held a unique contest for players to take part in. players were asked to design a table skin for each room which would go along with the poker rooms brand logos as well as be enjoyable to each player. The table skin also needed to be able to work on all table formats. The contest is now over and the winners have been announced.
