Microgaming Bans New US Players

Poker Bans US PlayersMonday November 10th, 2008 Poker Rooms on the Microgaming Network have stopped accepting new signups from the USA.  Existing players that are not from the 14 banned states that specifically prohibit online gambling (See below for list of banned states) would not be affected by this decision.

On November 10, Players who are residents of the 14 banned states will have their IP addresses blocked and their account balances were be refunded.

Microgaming (previously known as Prima Poker) powers over a 100 online poker and casino sites.  Some of the more popular Microgaming poker sites include DoylesRoom.com, PokerTime.com, BetWay.com and PokerHost.com.

The 14 banned states by Microgaming powered clients:

District of Columbia
Illinois
Indiana
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Missouri
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
Oregon
South Dakota
Washington
Wisconsin
